aisyah's graduation day

20 nov 2009, last day of school season for 2009. it's aisyah's pre-school 'graduation day' too. how cute & proud she was in her the graduation robe. she was very excited. abah was excited too. never mind if she's just an average student. the determination that she had showed to go thru one year of academic learning process make we proud. she seemed very confident & can't wait to experience the real school year. we hope that her excitement won't fade easily. she'll get all the support that she will need. we hope to be able to see her in the graduation robe again some years ahead. happy graduation to amiera aisyah frm abah, umi & abg haziq.

cuti sekolah

cuti sekolah datang lagi. pelbagai aktiviti perlu dirancang untuk memenuhkan masa haziq dan aisyah. tak kan asyik nak dok depan pc atau baca buku je. dah tentu bosan. abah pun tengah pening ni. jemputan kenduri kahwin, khatan, cukur jambul etc dah tentu akan bersusun. "nanti lah abah pikir, " itu jawapan abah bila haziq atau aisyah tanya tentang perancangan cuti kali ni. mungkin kita akan berjalan-jalan juga. tapi short trip la. dalam keadaan ekonomi yang tak stabil ni, mungkin itu je la yang abah dan umi boleh usahakan.

apa yang penting ialah pengisian waktu cuti dengan perkara-perkara yang berfaedah. abah tak kisah kalau haziq nak berkawan tapi biarlah dengan kawan-kawan yang berfikiran positif. kesian aisyah, dia belum ada ramai kawan lagi. mungkin cuti ni nanti kita akan ada lebih sedikit masa untuk bersama. abah nampak haziq dah ada perubahan positif, dah tak banyak melawan cakap.

tak kisah lah kalau haziq nak bertanya, tetapi sebelum tanya kena la tau serba sedikit tentang perkara yang nak ditanya tu. supaya kita lebih mudah faham. abah dan umi amat berharap supaya haziq akan cepat sedar tentang persekitaran yang semakin berubah dan jadi anak yang lebih bertanggung jawab. amin.

Ini kali kedua abah bawa Haziq & Aisyah ke Majlis Rumah Terbuka Tun Dr. M. Kali pertama ialah tahun 2008. (Umi pulak, ini kali pertama). Tahun lepas kita orang jalan kaki jer dari main entrance tapi tahun ni umi nak naik tramp. Kena tunggu 30 minit. Sempat amik gambar dgn Dato' Mukhriz. Kali ni kena beratur hampir 1 jam sebelum dapat bersalam dengan kedua-dua Tun berbanding dengan tahun lepas. Mungkin pasal kita orang sampai lewat sikit. Meriah macam tahun lepas gak. Lepas makan, sempat bergambar di sekitar kawasan sebelum balik rumah.

this year, Aidil Fitri fall on Sept 20th @ Sunday. everyone enjoy long holiday (until tuesday at least). another season for balik kampung, meeting with a year long missed/lost grannies/uncles/aunties'/cousins, seek forgiveness, enjoying ketupat, lemang, rendang, playing fire crackers, bamboo canon, etc. we spent the first day at shah alam. after solat Aidil Fitri, we went to nek yah house. pak ngah eddy, mak ngah ami & new cousin baby qayum (5 mths old) were already there. later we went to bangi (nek yah's kampung) & celebrate with grannies there. we return to shah alam by 11pm. we managed to visit another 2 house before calling it a day at 1.30am.

the next morning, we travel as early as 7.30 back to merlimau (nek temah's kampung). suprisingly, umi drove all the way from shah alam, the result..we arrived at almost 12pm, no serious traffic jammed though (better late than never). we spent 2 nite there & visited few places like pulau melaka mosque & the river cruise.

as usual there were many exchanges of stories about who - did what, get married, new babies, passed aways, new house, new jobz, new cars etc. it's a tiring event. many hours spent travelling, chatting & eating. the kidz were laughing counting their 'duit raya'. well, that's what raya is until today. may be someday we can improvised the celebration of Aidil Fitri to suit it's meaning.

this lady was so excited when abah & umi gave her the chance to join the mini tennis programme. armed with a big bottle of drinking water, she started to follow all the instruction given by the coach. she enjoyed it veryu much. but kidz, they will lost interest with what they're doing faster than u know it. that's it, after 30 minute or so, she left the court. "i'm tired" she said. anyway, abah & umi didn't expect her to like the game. we only wanted to see her socialised with her friends without barrier. after mini tennis, she started to demand for a new tennis racket. abah said, "wait until u show some interest with what u are doing." that's aisyah.

after so many months spending his time on training, so this was the day when he's going to show off what he has learnt so far. to put all his knowledge, skill & technics into pratice. he was really excited but the same time so nervous about the game. umi assured him that everything will be okay. this was only an exposure. do not take things seriously. just play. never mind if u lose. we never expect u to win but it will be history if u won. so, he played and lost. his opponent is a seasoned & well trained player. abah said we didn't expect u to be a pro. as long as u enjoy playing & learn a few things about it, that should be enough. well, everybody has their first time at everything...so don't feel so bad.

the kidz really excited when umi took them to her company's bowling tournament. though it was just a small event but the excitement shown by these 2 kidz like it was a granduer. they met with many uncles & aunties from umi's office, plenty of food & haziq managed a few throws. it's been quite a while since the last time we took them to the bowling center.

looking at haziq's personality, he's a boy who likes attention, extrovert & enjoy challenges/competitions. we prefer it that way rather than he keep everything to himself. we want him to find his own strengths and witnesses, let him explore life in his own way. we want him to find the answers to his so many questions - on his own. we believe his mischieves can be turned into a positive attitude. actually it's not easy, but it's a duty of parent to assist, to guide & to always be there for them - in good or bad time.

haziq has been talking about his school scout camping programme which will be held somewhere in July. the location is in hulu langat. we're not sure of letting him join the activity yet. knowing him as quite active and mischievous boy, most probably we would not allow him. we may let him go later when we can put more trust on him. anyway, to give him and aisyah a little bit of experience about camping, we decided to organise it ourselve. at first we are thinking of having it outside - near a beach or waterfall. but when come to think of safety and security, so we just have our campfire at our own compound. the excitement's still the same. we raised a tent for 4 pax, had bbq dinner of lamb chop, grilled chicken, salads, mashed potatoes & drink coke. abah even made a small 'unggun api'. it may looked wierd to some coz we did not live in a bungalow with trimmed lawn. but since we did it for our family, the purpose superseed any critics. why not try it?

abah always fascinated with breathtaking scenery photos he saw in the travel magazines. he always wanted to take such wonderful pictures with his camera. he was so inspired by these creative & brilliant photographers. "no harm trying" abah said. so here is his so called creative & quality works. enjoy!

aisyah & the 4 km walk

umi has been asking abah for so many time, that she wanted us to brisk walk from our house to the entrance junction to our housing area. it is about 2km - one way. since abah feel like to sweat out a bit that sunday, so abah said okay. but aisyah? luckily she agreed to tag along, excitedly. abah was not convinced that the 3 of us can make it to the farthest point, coz aisyah will be the dragging factor. "anyway, we can always turn back at any place when she started to feel tired," abah thought to himself. to our surprise aisyah managed to walk with us for the whole 4km (returned trip). she only started complaining at the last 500m that she was thirsty & exhausted. we dropped by at the nearby mini market & treat her with anything she wanted. she just took a bottle of mineral water, a packet of nuts & candies of course. well, never underestimated our kidz capability. they might do wonders.
